In this information-packed presentation, we'll review lesser-known requirements that are part of California's MWELO and the new regulations enacted as part of SB 1383, the Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Strategy. We'll review how ReScape Rating can help designers and plan checkers get up to speed. We'll also look at several projects that incorporated water-efficient landscaping and significant amounts of compost and mulch to give you some ideas for how to apply these concepts on your projects.

Sarah has been a practicing landscape architect in the Bay Area for 20 years. At Thuilot Associates, she is a project manager for several Silicon Valley commercial and multifamily housing organizations that own and maintain a portfolio of properties. At this scale, the design challenge is about seeking the best long-term irrigation solutions for landscapes, and then finding maintenance companies with the technical skills to take advantage of exciting new irrigation systems and digital tools.
Principal, Landfour Landscape Architecture
Cielo Sichi is the owner of Landfour Landscape Architecture. He has been professionally designing and building landscapes with a focus on sustainability since 2003.
