About this speaker
Chris Hyun has been the California State Water Board climate lead since 2020, tasked to ensure the State Water Board is doing all it can to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help ecosystems and vulnerable communities adapt to climate change now and for future generations. He upholds, assesses, and ensures action on the State Water Board's Climate Resolution and contributes to statewide climate strategies, regional climate coordination efforts, and water conservation regulation. He studied development engineering in the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California, Berkeley and environmental science at Banaras Hindu University.
